LoggerPro

Diagnostics and user bug reports for people who build Unity Editor tools

LoggerPro is two things that work together.

A diagnostics workshop for you — a categorised Editor console that replaces Unity's own, plus 20+ scanners for asmdef hygiene, update hooks, static memory, define symbols and project structure.

And a support channel for your users — LoggerProLite, a small console you ship inside your own asset, which gives your customers a filtered log window and a one-click bug report that lands back in LoggerPro with the environment details already filled in.

You keep your existing logging calls. You do not need conditional compilation.

Quick start

There is no setup step. No asset to create, no prefab to drop in a scene, no scripting define.

using RevGaming.LoggerPro;

LoggerPro.Log("MyTool", "Import finished");
LoggerPro.LogWarning("MyTool", "character_armour.fbx has no UV2");
LoggerPro.LogError("MyTool", "Could not write to Assets/Generated/");
Tools ▸ LoggerPro ▸ Console

A MyTool category is already in the list on the left, already enabled. Untick it and those messages disappear. Categories are created on first use, and can be toggled, filtered, saved as presets and committed with the project.

Publishing an asset? Do not use the above in shipped code

RevGaming.LoggerPro lives in LoggerPro's own assembly, so a tool that calls it stops compiling the moment it is installed in a project without LoggerPro.

Run Tools ▸ LoggerPro ▸ Lite Integration ▸ Prepare Lite For My Asset instead. It generates a private, branded copy of Lite inside your own assembly — see Ship a support channel.

Requirements

Unity 2022.3 LTS or newer. Built with Unity 2022 LTS and verified to import with no errors and no warnings on both 2022.3 and Unity 6.

No third-party packages. Nothing pipeline-specific either — LoggerPro ships no shaders, materials or renderer components, so it does not care whether the project is Built-in, URP or HDRP.

Rev + Rab Lite for your users. Pro for you. One report format between them.
